Tamarack Fields

Canvas Tales

These western tamarack of the Cascade Mountains are famous for the brilliant yellow color their needles turn before dropping in the middle to late Fall. If you hike the 9 mile round trip to Ingalls Lake at the right time of the year, you’ll travel through beautiful forests of these trees that grow throughout the valley, surrounded by the steep peaks of Mount Stuart, gently flowing streams and the freshly fallen snow.
